This summer course will be delivered through a series of lectures, practical workshops, discussion and a field trip. Its main aims are:
Participants will be enabled to:
Develop and use exploration trails on the school grounds and vicinity.
Construct, maintain and utilise a garden in order to teach about the environment, sustainability and conservation in a practical way.
Identify plants and devise practical methods of learning about them.
Identify invertebrates of land and water and devise ways of learning about them using active learning.
To employ a sustainable approach in the day to day organisation of the school and to increase biodiversity on the school grounds.
